Blue Quail Chardonnay 2014Our Blue Quail Chardonnay is stainless steel fermented and held with zero malolactic fermentation. Fruit forward, beautiful bouquet of apple, pear and peach blossom lead seamlessly into delicious apple, white peach and pear flavors, balanced by nice crisp acidity. It is a terrific food wine, pairing well with seafood, shellfish, poultry and cheeses.
Bonterra Chardonnay 2015Our organic fruit from Mendocino County offer the characteristic flavors of green apples, pears, and citrus to our chardonnay. We ferment 70% of the juice in a combination of French and American oak, which is allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation to create a rich, creamy wine with just a touch of new oak spice. The remaining 30% is fermented in stainless steel to preserve the crisp fresh fruit flavors. We age most of the wine using previously-used or neutral oak in order for these fresh fruit characteristics to shine through. New oak was used for just 16% of the wine to give this chardonnay a nice vanilla note. An initial impression of rich, buttery cream quickly turns to aromas of honey and lightly toasted almonds, followed by tropical aromas of pineapple, citrusy lemon and crème brulee. The wine is refreshing on the palate, with a minerality that is both bright and clean, drawing you into a vibrant tartness and lemon zest that is absolutely, positively Bonterra Chardonnay, vintage after vintage.
Bonterra Sauvignon Blanc 2015Our Sauvignon Blanc celebrates the fresh lively spirit of organic viticulture, and the crafting of this wine truly begins in the vineyards. For each vintage, we blend fruit from two distinctive yet complimentary growing regions in Mendocino and Lake counties. There is no mistaking the New World style of this wine. Intense aromas of citrus, kiwi and fresh cut grass greet the nose. As you drink, the crisp acidity makes this wine particularly refreshing.
Château Maris La Touge Syrah 2014La Touge 2012 is a blend of 60% Syrah and40% Grenache grown on hard and soft limestone and alluvial soils. vinification happens in a mix of concrete and conical oak foudre and it is aged for 12 months in 30% new oak and the rest in two and three years barrels. Like all our wines, it is bottled unfined and unfiltered and is thus suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The nose is ripe black fruits (blackcurrants, elderberries) notes alongside more spicy characteristics (pepper, herbs). The palate is very attractive with firm yet silky tannins. Aromatic, spicy with a fabulously generous weight. May 2015 Bremer's Staff Pick Brittany is one of our newest employees at Bremer’s! When circulating the wine in the glass it produces an abundant alcohol and glycerine teardrop. With a great intensity and clean aromas. Quite fruity. Red fruits: strawberry, raspberry with an agreeable sweet and capricious touch. On a strong base of red liquorice and violet caramels. Soft and capricious in mouth, with well-balanced and compensated acidity that gives liveliness and freshness to the wine. Agreeable with a medium persistence, with the appearance of many retro-nasal fruits. Young well balanced and elaborated wine. Great accompaniment with starters, Serrano ham, cured and blue cheeses. Ideal accompaniment for a variety of dishes: fish, red and white meats, roasts, rice, tortillas and mushrooms. Goes especially well with spicy dishes. Either alone or in good company.
