Pairs well with all meats, tomato based pasta sauces and flavorful, hearty dishes.
James Suckling "Aromas of currants and blackberries plus hints of mint and spearmint. Full body, fine and silky tannins, and a fresh, clean finish. Pure cabernet that's harmonious and delicious now"
Wine AdvocateCropped from a low yielding year, the 2014 Primus Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from grapes purchased from a producer that is converting to organic farming. The grapes are from 30-year-old vines on an alluvial terrace in Puente Alto in Maipo. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in oak barrels (20% new). It has the minty and balsamic nose of the Maipo Cabernet, quite subtle and with a polished, sleek palate with a soft texture and integrated acidity. Certainly leaner and drier than the wines from yesteryear. 60,000 bottles produced.
