Santa Margherita Alto Adige Pinot Grigio 2016To create our signature varietal, we start with fully ripe Pinot Grigio grapes, harvested from our Alto Adige vineyard in the Italian Alps by hand to ensure that the clusters remain whole and retain their delicate aromas and flavors. The grapes are soft-crushed, then carefully fermented in temperature-controlled tanks. Several additional weeks of aging are then used to fully develop the flavor that made Pinot Grigio famous. Then it's filtered, bottled and made ready for the most important stop on its journey: the gatherings and glasses of wine lovers like you.

Terra-d’Oro Amador Zinfandel 2015Tasting Notes This savory Zinfandel displays vibrant aromas of rich, spicy clove and big, generous fruit with hints of vanilla that entice the nose. An abundance of plums and flavors of dense, juicy blackberries excites the senses with a round mouthfeel of well-integrated tannins on the finish. This wine is rich and powerful, and incredibly well-balanced. The Terra d’Oro Amador Zinfandel is enjoyable on its own, and especially complements anything barbecued. Vineyard & Varietal Information At Terra d’Oro, Zinfandel is what we do best. Shallow topsoils, granite hardpan, hot summer days, and cool summer nights make a fabulous home for our favorite varietal. Hand selected every year from our prestigious Amador vineyards, Terra d’Oro Amador County Zinfandel is the flagship of our Zinfandel program. We head train and spur prune the Terra d'Oro vineyards for optimum sunlight and controlled crop. Winemaking Information At Terra d’Oro, our Zinfandel vineyards are carefully handpicked and brought to the winery for processing. After being put into a hopper, about fifteen gallons of juice per ton of grapes is removed. The grapes are then destemmed and crushed and the must is sent to tanks where it is left to cold soak for up to three days. This allows a primary extraction where water acts as a solvent and breaks down the cell walls of the grape solids, extracting flavors, color, and aromas. The fermentors are drained and returned three times, resulting in more extraction than merely pumping over the tanks. After gentle tank pressing, the wine was aged in a combination of Hungarian, French and American oak for 16 months. Bremer's April 2017 Staff Pick This month’s staff pick has been chosen by Garry – longtime Bremer’s employee. He liked his pick, Terra d'Oro Zinfandel from the first sip.
Conundrum Red 2015We believe in being both serious and playful, and this wine fits the bill. A rich, dark red, it offers aromas of ripe berries and plums, warmed by a hint of cocoa. Dried fruit and the taste of chocolate-covered cherries come through on the palate, while a wisp of smokiness makes this wine – created from dark red varietals including Zinfandel and Petite Sirah – the perfect complement to grilled meats and full-flavored dishes. Tannins are rounded out by the ripeness of the berries for a texturous but smooth mouth feel. The finish makes us think of lingering at the end of a long evening and still not wanting to go home, with layers of rich flavor that teasingly trail off. Bremer's October 2017 Staff Chosen by Rhonda, an employee at Bremer’s for 14 years and the person we all go to for food and wine pairings. Rhonda’s pick, Conundrum Red is a wine she first tried when she brought it to her sister’s house for a family gathering. Some drank it alongside roast beef, others had it with burgers and it was a big hit all around! Rhonda suggested it would also be very good with an assortment of hard cheeses. So as we are going into the season of holiday get-togethers, pick up a bottle of this red wine that is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
